INTERNATIONAL INEQUALITIES!

Written by ARCI

The proposed content is aimed at students from 11 to 18 years. The lessons are interdisciplinary and could take place during different school classes. The materials are interactive and presented through games, mental maps, videos, action plans and other activities.

During the classes, students will build an understanding of the characteristics, scope, causation, challenges and factors related to the international inequalities.

The issue of international inequalities is addressed through the scope of the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals, and in particular:

Goal 1. End poverty in all its forms everywhere

Goal 2. End hunger, achieve food security and improved nutrition and promote sustainable agriculture

Goal 10. Reduce inequality within and among countries

Goal 13. Take urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts

Through the lessons, the students will build an understanding of the scale and specifics of the problem and know what they themselves could do - locally and globally, to solve this important problem for all living beings and humanity.

The lessons are thematically distributed according to the following plan for students aged 11-18 years:

  • Reducing inequalities: What is equality? Equality in dignity and rights
  • Types of inequalities
  • Models of inclusion - types and good examples
  • Resistance to change - how to act in a situation of resistance and how to manage change
  • Leave no one behind- organize, plan and conduct civic actions to combat inequalities.
